“Buying a home in a foreign country can be extremely challenging due to a variety of rules, regulations and requirements that can be much different than those in an individual’s country of residence,” says Ridley. “Former residents that have been out of the country for a significant length of time may not be aware of the safest and most desirable areas, or the cost of comparable properties in any given location,” she adds.

Ridley is well acquainted with the market. She was born in Jamaica and owns two properties of her own there. She is a volunteer with the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaican Canadian Association. She completed her studies in Travel & Tourism and in Business Management. After consulting with some of the most well-known companies in the world to manage their corporate travel programs, she is now specializing in helping individuals own properties in the Caribbean.
